As one of the founding fathers of the popular Pig in the Park event, Dan Green, made serving pulled-pork sandwiches on the lakefront a September tradition in Fontana.
Dan loved to do was entertain, which is part of the reason he was at home during the Pig in the Park event and when he was killed in a construction accident he left behind a legacy.
The Pig in the Park has grown from 300 people to between 900 and 1,000 people.
Dan’s wife Mary always volunteered, serving baked beans or sandwiches, but now she is leading the Dan Green’s Touch a Life Heal a Heart Foundation to continue carrying of Dan’s philanthropic spirit.
Pig in the Park will be the second Saturday of July. Please mark your calendars and watch for further information
