Dan Green foundation “Angel Walk” on Lake Geneva to raise money for Open Arms Free Clinic. All of the proceeds collected will be donated to Open Arms!
Open Arms Free Clinic, Inc. has changed the lives of over 1,000 people since their doors opened in Nov. 2012, and this clearly spoke to our hearts. Open Arms is a community-based not-for-profit 501c3 charitable organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Rev. Dan Sanders, the man whose dream of this clinic became a reality, said “I would describe the need for the clinic as an issue of accessibility, not a question of insurance…A free clinic tries to remove those barriers to accessibility and tries to be an advocate for human beings in need of care.” Open Arms Free Clinic is staffed entirely by volunteers who have donated over 6,500 hours to “serve the health and wellness needs of the uninsured, low income, and underserved residents of Walworth County with compassion and understanding.” This is their mission. They offer free, non-emergent health care and are consistently open two days a week; Wednesdays for patient enrollment, and Thursdays for medical appointments. (www.openarmsfreeclinic.org)
